The Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture promotes the construction of web platforms - creating them directly or collaborating with other institutions - which collect censuses and maps of the various forms of contemporary art and architecture, as well as urban spaces. The aim is to enhance the contemporary by returning a series of cognitive tools to the public of professionals and users.
CENSUS OF ITALIAN ARCHITECTURE FROM 1945 TO THE PRESENT
It is carried out by the DGCC with the involvement of the Ministry's peripheral structures in collaboration with universities in order to identify contemporary architecture of historical and artistic interest. It is based on a unified filing methodology and uniform selection criteria.
ATLAS OF CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE
A project supported by DGCC to promote and enhance the content of the Census of Italian architecture from 1945 to the present. The main objective is to tell the story of Italy, through the original gaze of young architectural photographers, and to present specific thematic paths illustrated with original photographic materials.
REUSE OBSERVATORY
The Observatory is aimed at promoting the reuse of spaces for creative, artistic and cultural purposes, supported by the DGCC with the aim of spreading and strengthening knowledge and the exchange of good practices in terms of redevelopment of the suburbs and more generally of creative regeneration of cities and territories.
PLACES OF THE CONTEMPORARY
Promoted by DGCC to map the network of contemporary art venues in Italy and to promote the contemporary art scene. 10 types present: Art in Public Spaces, Associations, Collections, Foundations, Foreign Institutes, Museums, Corporate and Business Museums, Parks and Gardens, Exhibition Spaces and Independent Spaces.
VARIA | VIDEO ART IN ITALY
Platform that collects data from the Archives of video art and artist films project in Italy, promoted by the DGCC and the universities of Torino, Milano Bicocca, Udine and Sapienza of Roma, with the collaboration of the ICCD. The project aims to survey the funds and stocks of works and documentations in video and film (from 1965 to today) distributed throughout the country, in public and private institutions.
CENSUS PHOTOGRAPHY
The project, born from the collaboration between the Ministry of Culture (ICCD and DGCC) and Camera - Italian Center for Photography, is a participatory and shared tool capable of returning, on a single portal, information on the type, consistency, origin and characteristics of the photographic heritage present in our territory.
RAAM
The online archive "RAAM - AMACI Museums Archive Research" aims to raise awareness of the consistency and quality of the contemporary art heritage, from 1966 to today, of the AMACI Museums network - Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums. Created by the will of the DGCC and AMACI, it is an agile tool for knowledge and research of contemporary public heritage.
DUEPERCENTO
The "Duepercento" platform aims to illustrate what has been produced so far with Law 717/49: a tool for the implementation of artworks in public buildings, a stimulus for future projects. Among its institutional tasks, the DGCC has precisely that of 'supervising' the application of Law 717/49, both to promote and facilitate its implementation and to qualify interventions.
