The Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture is responsible for the supervision, in agreement with the Directorate-General for Budget regarding financial and accounting profiles, of the following Foundations related to contemporary creativity and established with ministerial participation: Fondazione Triennale Milano, Fondazione La Quadriennale di Roma and Fondazione MAXXI di Roma.
For the Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia, the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity - along with the Directorate-General for the Performing Arts and the Directorate-General for Cinema and Audiovisual Media - expresses to the Directorate-General for Budget the evaluations within its competence.
