From November 23 to 26, 2023, the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture is present at the third edition of the international modern and contemporary art fair “Roma Arte in Nuvola” with its own 48 sqm information booth to present to visitors the many activities it carries out related to the promotion, support, and enhancement of Italian contemporary creativity, particularly in the fields of contemporary art and architecture, photography, design and fashion, urban peripheries and regeneration, and cultural and creative enterprises.
The Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity has been carrying out a consistent program of actions for years aimed at promoting and enhancing contemporary creativity in the field of visual arts, with particular attention to the increase of the national public heritage and public commissioning of new contemporary artworks. Over the years, through structured and continuous programs supporting artistic production such as Italian Council, PAC – Plan for Contemporary Art, and Strategy Photography, and thanks to the commissioning by public and non-profit private entities, more than 100 new artworks have been created and later incorporated into the main public collections in Italy, reflecting the vitality and pluralism of contemporary Italian art. Within the information booth, there is a screening room where a significant selection of these works is presented, with a focus on the videos and artist films produced and/or acquired from 2018 to 2023.

Also on display for consultation are some of the publications and research supported and produced by the Directorate-General (or in collaboration with it); the Directorate-General staff is present throughout the four days to explain to the fair's visitors the many projects and various public calls.
Additionally, there are interactive stations where visitors can explore the DGCC's official website and browse digital platforms that collect surveys and mappings of various forms of contemporary art and architecture, such as the Census of Italian Architecture from 1945 to the Present, Atlante Architettura Contemporanea, Observatory on Reuse, Places of Contemporary Art, VARIA Video Art in Italy, Photography Census, RAAM Research Archive AMACI Museums, and Duepercento.
Within the information booth, one station is exclusively dedicated to the activities of the Cultural Office of the Creative Europe Desk Italy, which provides free technical assistance to potential beneficiaries of the calls funded by the European Commission under the Creative Europe Programme. Outside, two monitors display videos created as part of the winning projects of Creative Living Lab and Festival Architettura.
