Il bando della XV edizione del Premio New York offre a due giovani artisti la possibilità di vivere 6 mesi nella Grande Mela. L’iniziativa è promossa dal Ministero degli Affari Esteri, dall’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di New York, with theItalian Academy for Advanced Studies in America e dalla DGAAP – Direzione Generale Arte e Architettura contemporanee e Periferie urbane (l’attuale Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea del Ministero della Cultura). L’iniziativa è riservata ad artisti italiani emergenti con un’adeguata conoscenza della lingua inglese, che operino nel settore delle arti visive e che abbiano all’attivo almeno una mostra personale.

 

In addition to airfare, the two winners will receive a monthly stipend of $4,000 (for accommodation and board), as well as a space at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn. During their stay, the artists can also participate in a series of initiatives organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of New York and the Italian Academy and attend classes in art history, film theory, visual arts and architecture at Columbia University.

THE WINNERS

 

The winners of the 15th edition of Premio New York are Sara Enrico and Ludovica Carbotta. The two artists will have the opportunity to live in New York for six months, to participate in a series of initiatives organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of New York and the Italian Academy, and to attend lectures on art history, film theory, visual arts and architecture at Columbia University.
