Tra le candidature arrivate da tutto il mondo per la quinta edizione di Italian Council, promosso dalla DGAAP – Direzione Generale Arte e Architettura contemporanee e Periferie urbane (l’attuale Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea del Ministero della Cultura), sono state selezionate dalla Commissione le proposte degli artisti Filippo Berta, Riccardo Benassi, Antonio Rovaldi, Armin Linke, Anita Sieff, Francesco Arena.
The winning projects were submitted by: Nomas Foundation Onlus (Rome), Associazione Culturale Xing (Bologna), GAMeC – Association for the Municipal Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Bergamo, MUFOCO – Museum of Contemporary Photography (Cinisello Balsamo), Fondazione Volume! (Rome), Parco Archeologico del Colosseo (Rome).
The selected projects – for a total amount of over €600,000.00 – involve the creation of works that, conceived in relation to the host locations or inspired by reflections on social and cultural changes of the time, range from photography and sculpture to digital installations, video art, and performance.
