Milovan Farronato is the curator of the Italian Pavilion at the 58. International Art Exhibition of Biennale di Venezia. Farronato was chosen at the end of a selection procedure, in which 10 representative names from the national art scene were invited to participate. The project was chosen by the Minister from the trio proposed by the Directorate-General.
From the proposals submitted, all of which pay attention to the most advanced international artistic trends, Farronato's project was selected. It focuses on a limited group of artists who are given space to present their works and investigate their creative universes. The 10 curators invited to participate in the selection are: Antonia Alampi, Laura Barreca, Andrea Bellini, Alfredo Cramerotti, Milovan Farronato, Luigi Fassi, Andrea Lissoni, Bruna Roccasalva, Francesco Stocchi, Roberta Tenconi. The selection of the curators was carried out by identifying personalities in the sector who in recent years have carried out significant activities not only in the field of curating contemporary art exhibitions, but also in the field of research. The choice was made taking into account the experience gained in the national and international field, also ensuring the presence of young and established artists.
